A level must support the game's mechanics, pacing, goals, difficulty, navigation, encounters, sightlines, and player guidance before it becomes visually detailed. I define the game mode, metrics, target engine, camera, movement, and required interactions before blockout.
The workflow moves from paper flow and blockout to a playable build, feedback, visual language, lighting, set dressing, and agreed optimization. The package defines map count, asset source, gameplay scripting, supported engine version, and performance budget.
Balance cannot be proven from layout alone. Meaningful validation requires representative mechanics, players, telemetry, and repeated testing. I provide the agreed playtest pass and findings; ongoing balancing and game-system development are separate.
